Optimal Health
For Men

At any age, a man’s health relies on a number of factors.  This includes good nutrition, exercise, and keeping stress as low as possible.

Reduced levels of male hormones can impact health as well, and supplements with bioidentical hormones address many health issues.

Health Dimensions Clinical Pharmacy works with healthcare professionals to address men’s health concerns regardless of stage of life.

Hormone Therapy for Men

While Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is mostly discussed for women,  Hormone loss in men can be an issue as well.  As men get older, or perhaps after suffering an injury or other disease, they face lower levels of testosterone in their bodies.  As with menopause in women, this can cause:

  • Fatigue
  • Brain fog
  • Weight gain
  • Reduced sexual desire or performance

One of the more recent developments in hormone replacement therapy is the use of bio-identical Hormone Therapy (bHRT) which uses plant-based medicines that are chemically identical to natural hormones.   Health Dimensions Clinical Pharmacy works with prescribing physicians to create customized treatments that provide the best opportunity for a successful outcome.

Erectile Dysfunction

Sexual dysfunction in men can have many causes. For men suffering from diabetes, erectile dysfunction (ED) can be a side effect of the disease.  As many as 50% to 80 percent of men with diabetes experience ED.  There are many treatments commercially available to treat ED.  But Viagra, Cialis, and other commercially available medications in this class don’t work for every man with ED.

Health Dimensions Clinical Pharmacy has customized solutions for ED that, when prescribed by a physician, broaden the number of men who are treated successfully.  This includes commercially unavailable combinations and dosages of commonly prescribed medications, and other treatments showing great promise such as TRIMIX injections.
