Chloramphenical / clotrimazole / sulfacetamide / fluconazole

Chloramphenicol / Clotrimazole / Sulfacetamide / Fluconazole is a compounded formulation that may be prescribed when a provider requests a customized combination of antimicrobial and antifungal ingredients.

This medication requires a prescription.

Additional Information

N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) + Mupirocin is a compounded prescription formulation prepared at a provider’s discretion. This combination may be requested when a prescriber determines that a customized sinus rinse containing both a mucolytic component and an antimicrobial ingredient is appropriate for the patient’s care plan.

N-acetylcysteine is commonly referenced in clinical literature for its ability to influence mucus viscosity and biofilm structures, which may allow antimicrobial agents such as mupirocin to interact more directly with bacteria that can become embedded within sinus biofilms. Compounding allows these ingredients to be prepared in specific concentrations and delivery formats tailored to a provider’s protocol.

This formulation may be considered in situations where a provider has identified persistent sinus concerns and prefers a compounded preparation rather than commercially available options. As with all compounded medications, strengths, ingredients, and dosage instructions are determined by the prescribing healthcare professional.
